EDITORIAL:  HOW ARE YOU DOING?

Yes, I’m asking and expecting some responses from you all subscribers of VCB eNews.  Besides Facebook and Twitter feeds, VCB eNews is the link that’s been there for all of us to exchange and share.  Drop us a note.  Keep VCB eNews alive.

Me?  Feeling great after taking some time off after the Tour du Lac Bras d’Or at the beginning of August.  My garden needed some tender loving care and my brain needed some rest.

Pretty hot and humid today but the weekend looks fabulous.  Hope our paths will cross.

FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT

WHAT?:  Cape Breton Centre MLA David Wilton and Sydney-Whitney Pier MLA Derek Mombourquette on behalf of the Minister of Energy are pleased to invite you to a sustainable transportation community event  and grant announcement

WHEN?:  Friday, September 9, 2016  2:00 p.m.

WHERE?:  Cape Breton University,  Verschuren Centre, Room CS101 (Enter the front doors at the Shannon School of Business, and walk the hall to the Verschuren Centre. Room CS101 is located on the left side of the atrium)

ED:  Yes, it may sound “political” but let’s be realistic…  You and I cannot build these AT infrastructures with our own money.

Your presence is required at this announcement.  It is important to reassure politicians that they made the right decision to invest in AT at a time that grumblings are loud on social media about spending all that money on a bike path when our roads are in bad shape.   Also, it's a municipal election year and we need all the candidates' support.  So hope to see you on Friday, and bring a friend or two!!! ,

Remember, “squeaky wheels get the grease!”
