Annual General Meeting

Join us at the Velo Cape Breton Bicycle Association Annual General Meeting, Thursday November 21st at 12:00pm at the Curry Community Centre (corner of Prince St and George St, Sydney.)

Light lunch will be served.

We are looking for new board members! Open positions include:

• Vice President
• Secretary
• Rides Captain
• and Members at Large

Join our Board:

Board members help decide on projects, rides and events for the association. Board meetings are once at month. We have been doing most meetings as lunch meetings this past year but of course meeting time and place will be decided by the incoming board.

Roles:

Vice President: Attend meetings, help out in any way you can, chair meetings in absence of President.

Secretary: Attend meetings, take notes and circulate meeting minutes to all board members. Circulate before each meeting.

Rides Captain: Schedule a season full of fun rides! The Rides Captain works with volunteer ride leaders to plan out the ride schedule for May-October. The success of our riding season depends on having many volunteers to lead the rides and having a Rides Captain who can collect information about each ride and get it onto the schedule on the website.

Members at Large: Anyone interested in joining the board is welcome to nominate themselves for any of the executive positions and many board members begin as Members at Large. Members at Large attend board meetings and can volunteer to help with events, rides, promotions or advocacy.
